Who is La Dame dragon?

I am someone who has a knack for anything related to languages! I work with languages, I play with languages… should I say also with words? Probably…

I am passionate about this field of study and I have strong opinions on how people learn new languages! My method is unorthodox and often shocks at the beginning, but it works because I do allow my trainees to use their life experience and their creativity, so they are responsible for their own learning: I am only there to facilitate the process… What else to say? I think “out of the box” and I am different… consequently I am always fighting some obsolete system somewhere!

And when I am not spitting fire or involved in some heated war, it is what I do for my living:

I am the owner of my own small business La Dame dragon, services linguistiques. I have been established in the National Capital Region since 2000. I have more than 20 years of experience in developing customized FSL training programs for the industry. Along the years, I designed a method and a program adapted to our Canadian culture and reality and I trained (and still do!) successfully hundreds of employees in Montreal and Ottawa. My primary services include:

  • Customized FSL program design and training
  • Training needs and level assessment
  • Advanced grammar and business writing workshops
  • Evaluation of candidates’ skills in French

In addition to those services, I also provide:

  • Translation, editing and proof reading services
  • My fields of expertise : press releases, ads, newletters, brochures, artistic and cultural events, recreational activities, small business websites and updates regarding legal matters (professional associations and unions)

    Hi foreignlanguageteacher,

Thanks for your comment (and adding me to your blogroll), I really do appreciate it. It is not difficult to be fun, creative and inspiring when we have a passion for what we do… and, honestly, I would not do anything else!

Bonjour! Thank you so much for adding me to your Blogroll. What a privilege. But now I’ve gone ahead and moved. My blog is still called Foreign Language Fun, but now it’s at http://foreignlanguagefun.com
Hope to see you there 🙂

You are more than welcome Diane! BTW I took a look at your new site/blog last night (I left a short note also)… I really do love it! And, for sure, you will see me there from time to time!

Soon I will combine both my website and my blog… this one is for practice actually! I was not sure, at first, if I wanted to “blog”… and if I had the time… but it seems I got organized and it takes less time than I had anticipated!

    Have a great week!
